Archaeology Notes

NH74NW 18 c. 73 45.

A two-handed tripod camp-kettle of bronze has been found among a quantity of human bones, in a bank at the east side of Culloden Muir. Height 5 1/2 inches, diameter at the mouth 4 inches.

This vessel was on exhibition at Edinburgh in 1856, on loan from the Marishcal College, Aberdeen.

Archaeol Inst Great Britain Ireland 1859.

No further information was obtained regarding these finds during field investigation.
