Standing Building Recording (18 March 2020)

NN 96131 39161 A photographic survey was carried out by Derek Hall Archaeologist and Ceramic Speciliast on 18 March 2020, of a ruined farm building and associated enclosures at Meikle Findowie. Written descriptions were made of external and internal elevations and a suggested phasing of the building was made.

A farmstead, comprising one unroofed building and two enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch Map (Perthshire 1867, sheet lxi). One roofed building attached to a sheepfold is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1983).
