NH68NE 24 6744 8734

At NH 6744 8734, near the settlement and field system NH68NE 22, is a cairn situated on a spur and commanding an extensive view. It measures 4.7m in diameter and about 0.3m high and is surrounded by a kerb, best preserved in the NE and evident as intermittent stones on edge. In the centre is an earth filled cist, oriented E to W and measuring 0.9m by 0.6m. It is formed by three slabs on edge, the S slab is missing.

Surveyed at 1/2500.

Visited by OS (R L) 29 October 1970.

Ardvannie 1 NH 674 873 NH 68 NE 24

This cairn is situated on a small but prominent spur 450m SW of Ardvannie House. It measures 4.7m in diameter and 0.3m high and is surrounded by a kerb which is best preserved on the NE. At the centre there is a cist measuring 0.9m from E to W by 0.6m transversely.
