Archaeology Notes

NH64NE 36 unlocated.

In May 1854 a coin hoard was found "in the neighbourhood of Inverness" comprising 127 silver pennies of Robert Bruce and Alexander I. Wrapped in a piece of skin or hide, the coins were in an excellent state of preservation.
