Details in 1948: Output 300 tons per day, 75,000 tons per annum. 199 employees. Jig (bash tank) type washer. Canteen (non-cooked meals), no baths, first-aid room. All electricity AC, bought from Scottish Central Supply Company. Report dated 25-08-1948.

Other Details: Associated brickworks operated until the 1960s.
