Archaeology Notes

NN72SW 27 7404 2302

(Location cited as NN 741 229). Signal box, Dalchonzie, opened 1905 by the Crieff, Comrie and Lochearnhead Rly. A neat one-storey and attic cottage, combined with a signal box. Now a private house.

(Name cited as Dalchonzie Halt). The date of opening of this intermediate station on the Crieff - Lochearnhead - Balquhidder branch line of the former Caledonian Rly is not recorded. The station closed to regular passenger traffic on 1 October 1951.
