Archaeology Notes

NH44NE 15 481 463

Centred at NH 481 463 at the base of a SE facing ridge is a field system greatly mutilated by forestry activities. It consists of stone clearance heaps and an occasional lynchet, but details of the fields are mainly obscured, although one measures c 30.0m long by c 15.0m. There is no trace of hut circles.

A group of small cairns is situated at the foot of the steep SE-facing slopes of Bealaidh Mor about 450m NE of Dun a' Chliabhain (NH44NE 6).
