An area of possible mining activity (NMRS MS 738/31, no.25), on S-facing slopes overlooking Loch Leven, was recorded during a pre-afforestation survey by AOC (Scotland Ltd). It comprises an irregular ditch running NE from the shore of the loch for about 55m. It varies in width from 4m to 10m. Within the ditch, there is a bank measuring 16m by 3m. Field clearance has been dumped at the NE end of the ditch.
