(Classified as steel motor vessel, in ballast: former name cited as Zephyr, and date of loss as 10 April 1953). Angela: this vessel stranded on the NE side of the southern finger of Frisland [Friesland] Head. Capt. Niska.

Registration: Finnish. Built 1948. 211nrt. Length: 51m. Beam: 8m.

(Location of loss cited as N56 34.97 W6 35.93).

I G Whittaker 1998.

The location assigned to this record remains unverified, but is accepted. Frisland or Friesland Head is not noted as such on the 1999 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map, but the name presumably applies to the headland between Gortan Bay (to the SW) and Friesland Bay (to the SE), on the SE side of Coll.
