Activities

Watching Brief (26 August 2013 - 28 August 2013)

An archaeological evaluation undertaken in respect to a proposed development at Agilent Technologies, South Queensferry (centred on NGR: NT 137 776 and NT 139 773). The development area measures approximately 13ha in total. However only two undisturbed land parcels equating to 3.86 ha were available for evaluation. The evaluation was to target the possible site of a medieval motte (NMRS; NT17NW 34). The evaluation revealed that both of the land parcels had been subjected to severe truncation. No archaeological remains pre-dating the current works were recorded. Due to the truncation recorded across site, no further works are considered necessary.
