HU43NW 35.01 40029 39363

A concrete slipway is situated in the main harbour of Scalloway at the top of the main pier at Westshore. It was built during the Second World War for the use of the Norwegian Navy who, using fishing vessels, ran supplies to underground resistance and rescued refugees.
