Standing Building Recording (13 November 2012)
AOC Archaeology Group was commissioned by Cala Homes East Ltd to undertake a programme of historic building recording and archaeological works prior to the demolition of the C Listed early 20th century former Golf Club house at 37 Cammo Road, Edinburgh. The building was constructed in in 1908 by architects Bailey Scott Murphy and David Morton Kinross as the Cramond Brig Golf Club to the east of the Cammo House Estate. It has fine Arts and Crafts detailing with large chimney stacks, overhanging eaves and visible timber framework. However, due to lack of use it has been left to neglect and, at the time of survey, was in an extremely poor condition.
