Archaeology Notes

NT17NE 107 Centred 195 775

A series of timber posts were visible in the bay east of Cramond. There were at least ten visible, of various sizes from 0.25m-0.70m in diameter. A concrete setting for the posts was visible in some cases. These are possibly part of the WW2 defences and may be the remains of a glider trap.

Site recorded by GUARD during the Coastal Assessment Survey for Historic Scotland, 'The Firth of Forth from Dunbar to the Coast of Fife' 26th February 1996.
