Field Visit (May 1983)

Allt Loch Sgaorishal NG 348 040 NG30SW

Overlooking the sea-cliffs 170m NE of the outflow of the Allt Loch Sgaorishal there are the remains of what may be a two-compartment hut. The larger compartment, which is subrectangular on plan, measures 4.4m by 2.1m internally and the smaller measures 2.2m by 1.7m internally; a lintel-stone remains in place over the connecting passage. The remains of a further small structure lie 50m to the ENE.

RCAHMS 1983, visited May 1983
