Patmussach farmstead is noted in the ONB as 'a farm house, one storey high with offices attached the whole thatched and in fair repair' (Name Book 1868). It is depicted as roofed on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map, (Nairnshire, 1868), sheet vii as a group of four buildings with two possibly three enclosures. The latest edition of the OS map (OS 1:10000, 1978) depicts the farmstead as unroofed.
