Accessing Scotland's Past Project

A pair of conjoined enclosures, lying about 300m to the north of Cordregnie appear on both the 1972 1:10000 Ordnance Survey map and the 1st edition of the Ordnance Survey 6-inch map of Banffshire (1872). With no traces of any buildings shown on either map, they may be all that remains of a small farmstead which may date from the later eighteenth century or early nineteenth century.

Archaeology Notes

What may be a farmstead comprising two conjoined enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Banffshire 1872, sheet xxxvi) and on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1990).
