NG 885 570 to NG 888 567 An area of settlement, traditionally associated with a group of proscribed Macgregors. The site is between Allt Mheirliche and Allt Ghoibhle and is heavily infested with bracken. It consists of several buildings and enclosures and a corn-drying kiln. The old track between Doire na Fuaran and Alligin passes through it.
(1) Causeway. (2) Corn-drying kiln built onto the back of the 'barn'. (3) Footings of a drystone feature. (4) L-shaped building with two compartments. (5) Building attached to a kaleyard, which is at right angles to the house. (6) Footings of building. (7) Further W and uphill, perhaps the remains of the head dyke. Within this probable area of cultivation are two enclosures. Clearance cairns. (8) Footings of a building. (9) Enclosure with attached building and clearance cairns outwith the enclosure.

A farmstead comprising two unroofed buildings, one of which is attached to an enclosure, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire 1881, sheet lxxxi). Four unroofed buildings, one with an attached enclosure, are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1971).

Field Visit (1996 - 1998)
There is an irregular enclosure down towards the road c20m by c16m which has a building partially set into its E side. The building is aligned W-E, measuring c12m by c5m over walls c0.8m wide and surviving to a height in excess of 1m.
Due W and up by the burn side is another structure, c6m by c2m internally, aligned SSW-NNE. The walls are in excess of 1m high and are up to 0.8m thick The SSW end of the structure is rounded.
This group of buildings is marked on the 1837 estate map and was probably cleared in 1845. The current OS map shows 4 unroofed buildings on the E bank of Allt Mheirlich below the old track. However, only two structures can now be seen, the most northerly structures probably being destroyed by flooding, though fragments may survive below stream debris.
This is part of the wider area of settlement know as Lub a' Ghriogalaich traditionally associated with a group of proscribed Macgregors (MM).
