The Swedish motor vessel PAJALA was torpedoed by submarine.

Hydrographic Office, 1995.

(Classified as steel M[otor] V[essel]: no cargo specified, but date of loss cited as 18 January 1940. Pajala: this vessel was torpedoed by U-25 10 miles 72 degrees [from] North Rona. German position AM 34 88 = N59 50 W7 00.

Registration: Stockholm. Built 1924. 6873grt. Length: 127m. Beam: 17m.

(Location of loss cited as N59 15.20 W5 36.20).
