Surveying Details

-----------------------------

23 October 1967. An obstruction (of extremely dubious nature) was reported at 56 24 25N, 005 30 10W south of Heather Island, Oban, in the Kerrera Sound, by the trawler PLOUGH. This is what caused the boat to founder. The PLOUGH was probably too close inshore.

Source; authority not stated.

Hydrographic Office 1995.

Possibly a seaplane.

(Undated and unattributed) information in NMRS.

Possibly a duplicate record of NM82NW 8005 and/or NM82NW 8017. This is apparently the obstruction that Ridley notes off NE Kerrera.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 4 October 2002.

G Ridley 1984.
