Surveying Details

26 September 1969. The site lies on the beach at 56 30 07N, 006 48 14W. The vessel will probably disappear by 1975.

Report by HMS HECLA.

8 August 1985. The wreck is shown on a photograph of Scarinish Harbour taken 6 June 1985. It has largely disintegrated but wooden ribs still stand several feet above the general level of the beach.

(Classified as wooden sailing ship: no cargo specified, but date of loss cited as 1938). Mary Stewart: this vessel was laid up at Scarinish Harbour c. 1938, and allowed to go to pieces.

Registration: Ardrossan. Length: 21m.
