7 April 1945. A non submarine contact was reported in position 57 47 30N, 002 00 00W . The position was thought to be accurate to within 1830 metres.

20 June 1986. The site was examined on 5/7 February 1986 in 57 47 14N, 001 59 27W. The 4-range trisponder gave NGR eastings 400550, northings 877470. Decca (n scot) red d 20.24, green c 45.31, purple f 53.63. The least echosounder depth was 79.7 in a general depth of 81 metres. No scour pits were observed. The side scan sonar shadow indicated a height of 4.4 metres, and a length of 6.7 metres (22 feet). The object/vessel is lying with its keel orientated 000/180 degrees.

This wreck is charted [Wk] at depth 77m, 5.4nm N of Kinnaird Head. UKHO chart 115 (1978, revised 1993) notes no seabed type nearby, but the charted location is on or near the dropoff into the Southern Trench, to the N.
