23 June 1986. A wreck, known by fishermen to be a wooden fishing vessel, was examined on 26 February 1986 at 57 43 32N, 001 45 45W. The 3-range trisponder NGR eastings 414150, northings 870645. Decca (n.scot) green d 33.88, purple g 51.95. The least echosounder depth was 51.1 in a general depth of 57 metres. No scour pits were observed. Two seperate pieces of wreckage were revealed with the side scan sonar with a height of 4.9 metres.

UKHO chart no. 115 (1978, amended 1993) charts this wreck [Wk] at charted depth 51m 7.5nm ENE of Kinnaird and 6.9nm NNE of Rattray Head. There are numerous other wrecks nearby; no seabed type is noted.
