10 May 1956. A non dangerous wreck in approximately 57 38 12N, 001 44 05W (St Viking Deeps) was reported.
22 March 1973. The wreck was located (using decca [6c] red d 22.56, green d 33.72, purple g 77.50) at 57 38 12N, 001 43 57W. The least depth by echosounder was 38.4 metres in a general depth of 51.2 metres. The site was dived, and it was estimated to be vessel of about 5000 tons.
Telephone report by Mr Browning of the motor salvage vessel MINTO.
23 June 1986. The wreck was examined on 18 February 1986 in 57 38 18N, 001 44 08W. The 3-range trisponder gave NGR eastings 415790, and northings 860935. Decca [n scot] red d 22.34, green d 33.65, purple g 77.65. The least echosounder depth was 44 in a general depth of 52 metres. There is a small pit scour at the west end. The vessel lies with its keel orientated 060/240 degrees and in 2 halves. The side scan sonar indicated a height of 7.9 metres, a length (total) of 49.7 metres, and a beam of 11.7 metres.
