Surveying Details

-----------------------------

20 February 1973. A new wreck was found during survey operations in position 54 37 46N, 005 05 26W. At a depth of 200 metres, a small hard object was observed embedded in the deep slope down to the bottom of Beaufort Dyke. The object gives a clear side scan trace, only when looking at the slope from the east, and would probably give a sonar echo in the same direction. Nothing could be found on the echosounder.

Report by HMS FAWN.

Hydrogaphic Office 1995.
