17 August 1976. An 'old whiskey wreck' with a wooden hull is reported at position 54 46 51N, 005 01 04W.

Report by A. Newton, sub aqua diver.

Hydrographic Office 1995.

(Classified as wooden ship, with cargo of whisky (?): no date of loss specified). Unknown: [no further information].

(Location of loss cited as N54 46.85 W5 1.07).

This wreck is not charted as such. Float Bay is a small W-facing bay on the rocky W side of the Rhinns of Galloway, about 5 miles S of Portpatrick. The chart indicates no depth within the bay, and no local seabed type.
