Surveying Details

26 August 1975. A dive was undertaken in this position with the idea that this was the wreck of the CLAIRMORRIS. However, this site has now been identified as the ROCKCLIFFE and the CLAIRNMORRIS was located at position 54 56 02N, 005 11 09W.

18 March 1976. There is not much left of this wreck. It would seem to have been well salvaged with no engine, boiler, shaft or screw to be found. What is left lies embedded in a rocky seabed in approximately 3 to 4 metres of water. There are no high points remaining. The vessel has been identified from the ships nameplate and the builders plate.
