NO10NE 75 1536 0599

A pillbox situated just S of the bridge crossing the Butterwell Burn. Constructed of brick and hexagonal in plan with 5 embrasures with a door which is protected by a flanking wall. It is now in a ruinous condition, the roof having been removed. The walls are of two layers of brick and are approximately 1ft in thickness.

NO 1536 0599 A brick-built, hexagonal pill box close to the Butterwell Burn, near Wester Balgedie.

A brick-built type 22 pillbox situated just S of the old railway bridge on the W side of the road. The pillbox has no roof, the upper side of loopholes is open, there are no internal walls and there is an external blast wall protecting the entrance.
