'On Trinlymire [sic: name changed later to Trinlaymire] farm is a Brick and Tile Works in which tiles for draining are principally manufactured. Of late it has been but little worked. The occupier is Thomas Struthers. The proprietor is the Earl of Hopetoun.'

Ordnance Survey Name Book, 1855

Trinlaymire brick and Tile Works, comprising a large building of complex shape with two much smaller buildings lying to the N is depicted and named on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Linlithgowshire 1856, sheet 6). There is nothing marked at this location on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1976).
