RCAHMS Special Survey, Ensay and Killegray

An archaeological walk-over survey of the islands of Ensay and Killegray was undertaken by G Geddes (RCAHMS) from 21 to 23 June 2012, with the assistance of J Harden on the first day. The survey was undertaken in order to provide comparative material for the publication of the survey of St Kilda (Gannon and Geddes 2015). The 20 known archaeological sites were re-assessed, 11 previously unrecorded sites were discovered, and 42 digital images were taken.
