RCAHMS Afforestable Land Survey, Achiltibuie

'Achiltibuie: the north-western end of the Coigach peninsula was surveyed [by RCAHMS] during the summer of 1994 at the suggestion of Highland Regional Council. As well as recording the crofting and pre-crofting townships, several later prehistoric landscapes were also mapped, and among the individual monuments discovered were several burnt mounds and what may be the remains of a Norse settlement.' (DES 1994, 103).

The results of the survey were published as a broadsheet (RCAHMS 1997).
