National Archaeological Survey, Lake of Menteith

Colleagues in RCAHMS had requested a survey to help incorporate the material relating to several decorated stones near the Lake of Menteith, Stirling District, into the NMRS. This was duly carried out and several new examples were also recorded. The survey was undertaken by Mr J R Sherriff, Archaeology Division, with Mr D R Easton, NMRS, and covered an area of about 0.5km2 centred at NN 565 022.
