The two mounds at West Puldrite were recorded during the Orkney Barrows Project.

West Puldrite 1: The cist is still exposed and stands proud of the body of the mound. There are verticals of what could be another cist to the east of the existing one, in the central part of the mound. The cist that has been excavated is contained within the body of the mound and does not sit on ground level - it could be secondary? The mound measures 12.6m by 10.7m and is 1.05m in height. It is prominent on the skyline to the E for 1km.

West Puldrite 2: This mound measures 6.5m by 7.5m and is 0.7m in height. Some possible kerb is visible. It is in as prominent a position as mound 1, but is less visible as it is smaller.
