A cairn is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1875-6, sheet clvii) marked 'Captain Robertson's Cairn (1868)'. Three cairns are depicted on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map, suggesting the others were erected later.
