A large overgrown mound stands on the site where, in the 19th C, excavations revealed two probable Iron Age houses. The two large round houses stood to either side of a flagged yard, flanked by smaller outbuildings. Built into a sand dune, the houses were radially partitioned and there was some evidence to suggest that they may have had corbelled roofs. Finds from the site include pottery, stone objects and a saddle quern; these were donated to NMAS. The structures are now covered by blown sand.
