Oblique aerial photography (RCAHMSAP 2009) has recorded the lodge and ancillary buildings at Aultdearg, 3.6km NW of Grudie. In the late 19th century, five roofed buildings were depicted at ‘Aultdearg Lodge’, including kennels, and fields to the W and SW (Ross-shire and Cromartyshire 1881, LXXIII). Current OS mapping depicts three roofed buildings and one unroofed building.

Information from RCAHMS (GFG) 19 May 2011.
