(Location cited as NH 814 782). Fearn Station, opened 1865 by the Inverness & Aberdeen Junction Rly. Formerly a 2-platform through station, now reduced to a single platform. The up-platform building is similar to that at Alness, but slighly smaller. At the North end is a neat elliptical-arched overbridge. Alness (NH 660 694), Bonar Bridge (NH 600 904) and Meikle Ferry (NH 748 884) have similar buildings.

This intermediate station on the Inverness - Wick and Thurso ('Far North') line of the former Highland Rly was opened (by the Inverness and Aberdeen Junction Rly) on 1 October 1864. It remains in regular use by passenger traffic.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 2 July 2009.
