Baddinsgill Reservoir is situated about 500m NNW of Baddinsgill House (NT15SW 70) and dams the Lyne Water.
The masonry and earth dam and sluice are at NT 12890 55390 with the Waterman's Cottage at NT 12606 55357. The reservoir occupies about 23.7 hectares.
