The former wardroom block or officers' quarters, mess rooms and recreational facilities are situated at the extreme W end of the Port Edgar complex. Neo-Georgian style, two storey brick with concrete lintels, slated roof with two brick chimney stacks at N end. Eighteen window openings on W elevation, entrance door with slated roofed porch. The porch has a bargeboard and the door is arched with a small triangular keystone. Foot scrapers survive either side of main door. Cast iron lamp brackets on W elevation corners. On S gable end, bricked up door with one foot scraper on S gable side. 'Lochside' brickworks bricks used in construction. The roof has overhanging eaves with exposed rafter feet.

On E side of main building, two rows of single storey brick buildings with linking corrugated iron roof shelter.

The building has boarded up windows and lies out of use.
