Pier built 1850 by Joseph Mitchell for British Fisheries Commission.

Proposed for listing by Community Council but rejected by Historic Scotland (November 2006) as insufficient structure remaining. The Pier retains some good fabric including large masonry blocks, iron ties and steps.
