Gallowgate Central Station, 11 Lambert St, built c. 1892 for the North British Rly. The surface offices were in a 1-storey by 7-bay, red sandstone building, in the Renassiance manner, with round-headed openings. The large doorway is surmounted by a pediment. At this point the railway is in a cutting, with traces of platforms visible. The station was closed in 1917.

J R Hume 1974.
