This grass- and tree-grown quarry is largely situated S of Hilton Road, but its northern part lies on the opposite side of the road in Stewart Park. Although several rock faces up to 6m in height are visible, it is clear that the quarry has been filled in, probably in the first half of the 20th century when the surrounding housing estate was built.

The quarry is depicted on both the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire 1869, sheet lxxv; 1902, sheet lxxv.NW).
