ND36NE 51 c. 3772 6757 to c. 3790 6776

This line of concrete anti-tank blocks is situated on the shorline below Thistly Hill. It consists of a double row of anti-tank pimples in front of a single line of anti-tank blocks with a road block at a point which pierces the line.

J Guy 2000; NMRS, MS/810/10, vol.1, 19, Vol.3, 20

The WW II anti-tank blocks and pimples are visible on a RAF vertical air photograph (CPE/Scot/UK 225, 3181, flown 27 June 1947). The blocks are noted on the aerial photograph running intermittently from Freswick Mains (ND 3785 6705 to ND 3781 6715 as a double line), a further short double line length at ND 3778 6724 with several other lengths just visible amongst the dunes and along the high water mark on the beach until ND 3778 6769 where the double/triple line group starts. The road block is visible at c. ND 3780 6773.
