Stone [NAT]

OS 1:10,000 map, 1972.

This boundary stone is situated on the summit of Tom a' Gharraidh at a height of 506m OD. Rectangular in section and flat-topped, it is a granite block measuring 0.25m in breadth from N to S by 0.15m in thickness and 0.55m in height; it bears an incised letter M (Mowbray, a previous owner of Delnadamph Estate) on the W face and the letter F (Forbes, Candacraig Estate) on the E. The stone is first depicted on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire 1902, sheet lxviii).
