The gymnasium/cinema building is situated on the E side of the A967 road at a point which was formerly between the main accommodation/contracting camp on the W side of the road and the technical area to the W of the control tower.

The building measures about 44m in overall length and 11m maximum width. There is a porch at the N end and an extension on the S end which may have been the chapel.

On the date of visit the building was in use as a cattle shed.
