Three bomb or explosives stores are situated at the NE corner of Skeabrae Airfield about 100m SW of Swartland farmsteading. The bomb store has unusual blast walls to the N and S sides of the buildings, being in a zig-zag pattern.

The stores were numbered from the west, nos1, 2 and 3 (Works Directorate drawing of 1944, no.1811/54), no.2 being smaller than the other two. No.1 store measures about 25m and 16.8m , No.2 store, 19m and 15m and No.3 store 26m and 16m.

All are being used for animal feed storage or as animal shelters.

The bomb stores are visible on RAF vertical air photogrpahs (541[A] 390, 3415-3416, 18 May 1948).
