This Class I axe-hammer is held in Carlisle Museum under accession number Carl. 87-1970.1. It has been petrologically attributed to group XXVII (greywacke from the Southern uplands of Scotland) or, possibly, group XV (micaceous sub-greywacke from the southern Lake district of Cumbria).
