The control tower (watch tower) for Crail Airfield is situated at the southern edge of the main technical area, but N of the main runways. Built of brick and concrete the tower is a four storey naval type, others being known to survive at Fearn Airfield, Ross and Cromarty, Shropshire and Hampshire.
