NT60NE 5.03 6625 0840.

This field-system occupies the NW flank of Crink Law and extends over a distance of some 200m from NW to SE by 150m transversely and is enclosed on the SW by a stone-faced bank, the course of which has been interrupted on the E side by a gas pipeline trench that runs across the site from ESE to WNW. At least two lengths of bank running across the contour were identified to the N of the pipeline and three lynchets, against the lower of which at NT 6625 0841 is what may be a small house platform, some 6m in diameter, the interior of which is overgrown with reed grass. Within the fields there are the traces of cord rig which can be seen to extend over most of the area of the field-system when viewed from the air, including a slight lynchet on the S of the pipeline (visible on oblique air photographs by J Dent).
