This field-system is situated within a field of improved pasture on the W side of the Glenmerse Burn at the foot of the NE flank of Birkside Law. The two major banks of the field-system drop down the slope roughly parallel to each other, but there are also traces of a few short lengths of bank running across the slope. At the foot of the slope the banks run into a cluster of small cairns and to the NW of the cairns the edge of the uncleared ground can be identified.
