Echizingles, or Chingles, Tower (belonging to the Armstrongs) stood near the old church of Kirkton (NY 369 908) in 1590.

There is no indication or surviving tradition of a tower in this vicinity. Dr M Robson of Wilton Lodge Museum has no information about this name.
